BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Mark Allan - Chairperson

Mark and his wife Vanessa experienced a challenging pregnancy from conception and at 18 weeks knew that their baby would be born prematurely. Weekly and then daily monitoring along with extensive medical treatments at the Auckland Women’s Hospital Assessment Unit enabled them to get to 34 weeks when their daughter, Saskia, was born by C-Section weighing 1460 gms. All through the leadup to Saskia's birth, support along with caring, helpful and personal consideration was given by the team at the NICU unit.

Saskia was discharged after 32 days in the unit and is now a bubbly 9 month old.

When the opportunity to become a Trustee arose, it was accepted with enthusiasm as it enables both Mark and Vanessa to give back to the wonderful people and Unit who helped them when Saskia was born.

Mark is a Director of Companies with over 30 years experience.
